Handmade Christmas part 1
And here is the first installment!
I'm going to hazard a guess that my bother doesn't read this blog. He spends most days climbing pylons or trees or both and so he doesn't spend much time surfing the Internet for sites offering activities for toddlers. Therefore he is forgiven.
Anyway. My brother just bought a new car and after years of choosing cars based on their top speed he has suddenly bought a car based on it's fuel efficiency and practicality (this is seriously unknown territory for him). So what better way to celebrate the transition from boy racer to grandad than a pair of customised slippers.
For this project I just bought a cheap pair of slippers from Carrefour (they were 8€ I think which in hindsight is not very cheap at all).
Then I cut out the logo from his new 'slow-mobile' from felt.
Some glue was used to stick the logos to the slippers and hey presto! Slippers fit for a pensioner!
I feel compelled to add that this isn't the only thing that I will be giving my dear brother but it is the handmade component (so don't think I'm tight when it comes to choosing gifts for my loved ones ;)
I also feel compelled to apologise to anyone who drives a Volvo and is offended by this post. The Christmas cheer (non alcoholic variety) has gone to my head somewhat.
